Portfolio Masterclasses


Thank you to everyone who attended and facilitated our masterclasses during 2016. We will be announcing more events soon. Thank you from everyone at Arion Productions to all those that came long and wanted to learn. 

In 2016, Arion Productions Ltd launched a series of masterclasses to provide expert ‘one day only’ training in much-sought-after specialist fields with some of the country’s finest theatre, film, television and radio professionals on various Sundays throughout 2016 at the Diorama Arts Studios.

Between 20 – 50 people attended each of these unique masterclasses created for those considering performing arts or professional performers who might be looking to learn new skills. Every class are accessible to all, regardless of physical disability and access needs.

Previous masterclasses have been hosted by two time Oliver Award winner, Jenny Galloway (Acting Through Song Masterclass), multi-award-winning producer Danielle Tarento (Auditioning for Musical Theatre Masterclass), West End leading lady, director and champion of new Musical Theatre, Julie Atherton, long-standing War Horse and Goodnight Mister Tom puppeteer, Abigail Matthews (West End Puppetry Masterclass), West End legend and leading-lady, Anna Jane Casey (Acting Through Song Masterclass) and television, film and stage actress Annette Badland (Acting For Stage and Screen) and writer, actor, producer and broadcaster Mark Gatiss (Discussions for Actors and Writers)

All profits raised from the Portfolio Masterclass series will be invested by Arion Productions into future opportunities in their upcoming productions to give practical and paid experience.

All those that wish to participate must be 16+ and either in training or considering training in performing arts or be a professional actor that wishes to learn further skills. These workshops are not for children. Please wear clothing that you are comfortable to move in. For detailed notes about requirements, please see individual masterclass summaries above.

Access Needs

The Diorama Arts Studios are fully accessibly for wheel-chair users. Please e-mail us if you require a specialist interpreter, signer or carer to attend.

How To Get There

The nearest underground stations are Warren Street (on the North and Victoria lines), Euston Square (on the Circle, Hammersmith and Metropolitan lines) and Great Portland Street (on the Circle, Hammersmith and Metropolitan lines). The nearest mainline station is Euston.

Box Office

Tickets are available priced £35 per masterclass, plus a TicketWeb booking fee. Mark Gatiss’ discussions are priced £30 per discussion. All tickets must be booked in advanced of the events. Tickets can only be collected from the registration desk on the day of a masterclass provided a confirmation e-mail from TicketWeb and a form of ID is presented. Tickets are not posted in advance. All attendees must be 16+ and considering or in performing arts training or be a professional actor looking to learn new skills. These masterclasses are not for children. All places are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged after being purchased. We cannot guarantee that everyone who attends a masterclass will work one-on-one with the special artist due to time constraints and the creative nature of the day.
