This November, Arion Productions has launched a brand new website archiving all of our productions since we formed in 2012, including The White Feather (Union Theatre), As Is (Finborough and Trafalgar Studios), Dessa Rose (Trafalgar Studios), Passing By (Finborough and Tristan Bates), Rooms: A Rock Romance (Finborough) and A Winter’s Tale (Landor Theatre).
But for Arion to continue to produce vibrant new productions; we need you help. Which is why we ask, ‘Could you be a friend of Arion?’
Arion’s website now has the capacity to accept donations of any amount to raise vital funds so that the company can continue to programme brave, little shows and give first time opportunities to young creative talent both on and off stage. Artistic Director, Andrew Keates comments:
“Arion has been and will continue to be committed to paying artists fairly, however as many of our shows play in small but expensive 50 – 100 seat theatres and productions usually cost anywhere between £40K – £70K the chances of recoupment and profit are infinitesimal. We really need our loyal audience members to help us to continue to help nurture creative talent in a professional environment. We have always been creative in our approach to our shows, now it’s time to be creative about how we raise funds, as if we don’t we cannot continue to action our ideals of which the company was founded.”
All those that donate will be acknowledged on the Arion website as ‘A Friend of Arion’. Plus those that are able to make a substantial donation will be included in Arion production programmes and be invited to exclusive events to meet the Arion team as well as the artists we mentor and support.
A social media hashtag has been created for this campaign #FriendsOfArion and we ask everyone to help spread the word that we need your help.
