001: Opening night with Cassidy Janson

It’s opening night for the Show People Podcast – the podcast that shines a spotlight on the UK performing arts industry and those dedicated to their craft. Join multi-award-winning British Theatre Director Andrew Keates as he travels far and wide to interview a special guest every episode to find out all about their lives, careers and the lessons they’ve learned, whilst covering the latest news, industry issues, recommending things to see and do, showcasing new theatrical talent and enjoying a little bit of silliness too.

Our first special guest is leading lady, Cassidy Janson, who has just finished playing Carol King in the West End musical production of Beautiful at the Aldwych Theatre and will know from other productions such as Tick… Tick… Boom! Wicked, Dessa Rose, Candide, Company, Lend Me a Tenor, Rooms: A Rock Romance and many others.

In this episode Andrew and Cassidy discuss why the Show People Podcast has been created, they pick out the latest ‘dramatic’ news, there’s music from musical theatre composer Paul Boyd and a host of cameo appearances from familiar voices.
